Why are there sometimes gaps in the statistics?

Gaps can arise because data is simply not available for every category we cover in each country, and there is insufficient information available for us to model the data. 

For example, a less developed nation such as Algeria will publish far less detailed statistics than a country such as the USA or Japan. If we are not completely confident with the quality of the data we will not publish them.
